Course Description

This programme is designed for candidates who are willing to obtain a recognised vocational qualification. The Programme will provide the knowledge and training in the techniques and skills that are necessary for a caregiver.  The candidates will be trained to provide care to variety of clients, including elderly, children, post-natal mothers and new born. 

Program Objectives
* Provide knowledge and skills for safe and effective practice when working without direct supervision.  
* Recognise and work within the limits of their competence.  
* Upgrade knowledge and skills throughout their working life.  
* Engage in appropriate learning and practice activities that maintain and develop their competence and performance. 

Recognition
Registered in Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC), Sri Lanka 

Academic Pathways
Certificate III in Aged Care (NVQ Level 04) / Certificate III in Child Care (NVQ Level 04)
